Generate a CSR for Microsoft Small Business Server 2008

You must set up your Internet address before you run this wizard. If you have not run the Internet Address Management Wizard, you will receive an error message. To Set up your Internet address go to Getting Started Tasks. When your Internet address is set up successfully, follow the procedure below.

To generate a CSR on Microsoft Small Business Server 2008 (SBS):

• Open the SBS Console: "Start" > "All Programs" > "Windows Small Business Server"
• Go to "Network" of the Task Pad and click "Connectivity"
• Select "Add a trusted certificate"
• The wizard opens, click "Next"
• On the "Get the certificate" page, click on "I want to buy a certificate from a certificate provider" then click "Next"
• Fill in the fields:

• Issued to (CN) – Indicate here your SSL server name, such as "secure.company.com", "www.my-domain.com" or "www.product.com". No IP address (learn more). No spaces nor blank characters.
• Organisation - Indicate the corporate name of your company (no trade name or acronym), in uppercase preferably.
• City - Indicate the city where your company headquarters are based.
• State/province - In France indicate the name of the department where your company headquarters are based (not the number).
• Country - Indicate FR if your company is in France, BE for Belgium, etc, in uppercase preferably.

• Click "Next"

• Place your request on our website using the appropriate link. See Access an order form
• Copy/paste the CSR file content in the form.
