Request a Netscape Code Signing certificate

To place a request for a Netscape code signing certificate you will have to use one of this browsers: Netscape 4.7 (or higher), Mozilla, or Firefox. You can download a Netscape product here:

When placing a certificate order via our order form, the browser will automatically generate a private key and a CSR in its certificates' registry but it will be entirely transparent in the Netscape interface. Yet when you will install the certificate it will appear. That is why it is important to use the same browser, under the same user session, for both the certificate request and download.

When the certificate appears you can export it to a .p12 format (backup) and import it into Netscape 4.7 in order to have an optimal signature environment.
